To many, one of Britains greatest modern painters, Francis Bacon has painted many pieces using an architectural, frame, glass or ghost like structure around the subjects of his paintings. Francis Bacon:Invisible Rooms exhibition provides visitors to Tate Liverpool with the opportunity to enjoy some of the artists most iconic and powerful paintings focusing especially on this reoccurring theme.

9 July 2016 – 10 July 2016
This years sees the return of this superb celebration of all things Vintage from the 20th Century. This free festival reunites music and fashion in a way that’s never looked so good!
With a superb Vintage Market, Vintage DJ’s, Pop Up Dance performances, Vintage Classic cars and workshops to keep you busy teaching the adults and the kids traditional vintage techniques from graffiti to printing

August 24 – 30, 2016
70 Bands from 20 Countries celebrates the music of the most famous pop group the world has ever known, the Beatles. In the city where it all began, Liverpool.
With live music at the centre of International Beatle Week at venues across the city the city will be ringing with the anthemic sounds of the Beatles. With late night parties, conventions, the massive Beatles marketplace, videos and quizzes if you are Beatles fan this is an event not to be missed.

For gardeners across the North of England this is an event not to be missed. The Southport Flower Show attracts over 50,000 visitors from every walk of life, if you love gardening and superb floral displays this is one of the events of the year.
With exhibits from Amateur growers, Floral and Plant Societies, show gardens of all different shape sizes, food festival, celebrity guests to name but a few, there is something for everyone. A great day out for all the family!
